Job Description: • Valid Texas state teacher certification—Theatre • Bachelor’s degree required • Enthusiastic instructional leadership contributing to the successful progress of Pearce HS Theatre students grades 9-12 with a goal toward continuous improvement in student performance, participation, and success in the program • Candidates with a strong, well-rounded background in all areas of Technical Theatre, and knowledge of current trends preferred • Candidates must have experience with guiding students toward mastery in all areas of Technical Theatre • This position may have technical support needs at junior high feeder programs. • Demonstrated leadership in curriculum, instruction, technical skills and knowledge to deliver effective instruction to high school students • Demonstrated creative, organizational, and instructional skills to contribute to a successful comprehensive high school Theatre program, involving multiple productions including plays and musicals • Demonstrated communication skills to promote a shared vision and foster harmony and teamwork with students, parents, colleagues, campus and central staff • Possess management and communication skills to ensure a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all Theatre students • This position will require collaboration across departments to support a school wide musical, department support for a competitive One Act Play program, and multiple productions throughout the year • Ability to exhibit the highest standards of professional integrity and respect in student, parent, school, and community relationships • Experience with auditorium AV equipment and willingness to learn new techniques for supporting technical designs for multiple campus events per year • Preferred experience with management of an auditorium space while following all district expectations • Preferred experience with: ETC EOS based lighting systems, Qlab, Audio Visual Networking, ETC power rigging hoist with foundation control system, Stage Management, Scene Shop management Contact Name for Job Inquiries: Heather Biddle Contact Email: heather.biddle@risd.org Contact Phone: 469-593-0000
