Job Description: Rogers ISD is now accepting applications for the Theatre Teacher position for the 2026 to 2027 school year serving Rogers Middle and Rogers High School. The Rogers Theatre program is a growing and highly active program with a strong culture of student leadership, creativity, and competitive success. The department includes both middle school and high school theatre with opportunities in performance, technical theatre, design, directing, and UIL competition. Rogers theatre students are competitive, hardworking, and hungry to grow as performers, designers, and storytellers. Courses currently include middle school theatre, high school theatre, production classes, and technical theatre. The program has continued to grow in both participation and community visibility over the last several years. Rogers ISD operates on a hybrid school calendar with several four day instructional weeks throughout the year, creating opportunities for professional growth, production preparation, and work life balance. The district has also supported theatre professional development opportunities including Maestro workshops, theatre conventions, and UIL training experiences. The theatre facilities include a dedicated cafetorium performance space, large classroom theatre spaces, large costume and prop/furniture inventory, and production equipment that supports both performance and technical instruction. Position Responsibilities: This position includes teaching theatre courses at both the middle school and high school levels while directing productions and managing extracurricular theatre activities. Experience with UIL One Act Play and/or technical theatre is preferred.
