Production Management: Direct and produce at least two major stage productions per year (e.g., a fall play and a spring musical).
UIL Coordination: Prepare students for UIL One-Act Play competitions and other district-level festivals.
Technical Oversight: Manage the school auditorium, including sound, lighting, and set construction, while ensuring student safety.
Program Growth: Recruit and retain students into the Fine Arts program through engaging classroom experiences and extracurricular opportunities.
Budgeting: Manage the department budget, fundraising activities, and equipment inventory.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Certification: Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Theatre (EC–12).
Experience: Previous experience directing youth theatre or student teaching in a secondary theatre environment is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic stagecraft (lighting boards, sound mixers, and power tools).
